Little Falls: George Bundick, 89, a lifelong Little Falls resident passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Alpine Nursing & Rehabilitation Center , Little Falls with the love and support of his family by his side.
Born in Van Hornesville on March 21, 1925, George was the son of the late Michael and Katherine (Kawczak) Bundyk. Raised and educated locally, he attended Little Falls Schools. On August 14, 1948 he was united in marriage to the former M. Arlene Stahl at St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls with whom he shared his life, his love, and many cherished memories during their 66 years of marriage.
During his working life, George held the position as a mechanic for Slabes Sales & Service for many years from which he retired and also worked for his father-in-law at one time for DeKater & Stahl Chevrolet Olds Dealership in Dolgeville. George was a man of great strength of character and an honorable, dependable provider for his family. He held close to his heart the love he had for his wife, daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A portrait of George would portray him with a smile and a snicker, a supportive and fun-loving person who always put people at ease by making them laugh and providing unconventional wit and unconditional love with his keen sense of humor. An outdoorsman, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
George was a member of the Morehouse Lake Club, the Oppenheim Sprite Club, was a former member of the Holy Family Men’s Club and a former member of the East Herkimer Fish & Game Club. He enjoyed assisting Frank Lawrence at Holy Family functions and was a member of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Arlene; his daughters and their spouses, JoAnne (Jody) and John Bubb of Mohawk, Colleen and Steve Salamone and Shelley and Tom Cotton all of Little Falls ; his cherished grandchildren, Steve Coonradt and wife Mary, Lisa Peters and husband Dennis, D.J. Shepardson and wife Gina, Bryan Shepardson and wife Sarah, Stephanie Metott and husband Mark, Rich Salamone and fiancé Sara Anderson and Katie Cotton; 10 great grandchildren; in-laws, Beverly Murphy Casadonte and Jeannette Bundyk; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by an infant son, John Edward Bundick; brothers, Nick and Joseph Bundyk and sisters, Mary Sheahan, Julia Green and Ann Spurza.

Terence Healy, officiating, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Procession will then follow to St. Mary’s Cemetery Town of Herkimer, where he will be laid to rest.

Shirley Scottie-Valeriano
LAS VEGAS – Mrs. Shirley Jean Scottie-Valeriano, age 76, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, NV and formerly of Governeur, NY, passed away suddenly in her home on Thursday, March 5, 2015.
Born on June 19, 1938, Shirley was the daughter of the late Claude Clifford and Olive (Bell) Cardinell. She was raised and educated in upstate New York and graduated from local schools. Shirley was then married and spent a number of years living in San Diego.
After the death of her first husband, she met and fell in love with Alfred A. Valeriano, Sr. and the two relocated to Las Vegas in 1979. They were an inseparable couple who cared for one another in every way. They spent over 35 years of love and companionship, until early this year, when Al passed unexpectedly on January 9th. It is said that one can die of a broken heart and there is no greater testament to a couple’s true love when one really cannot live without the other.
Shirley will be missed by her beloved family; her stepsons and daughters-in-law, Al and Angela Valeriano of Frankfort and Phil and Terese Valeriano of Baldwinsville; her grandchildren, Vincent Valeriano, Danielle Valeriano, Alaina Valeriano and her fiancée, Todd Phillips, and Aleese Valeriano; and her brothers and sisters-in-law of the Syracuse area.
The family bid their farewells to Shirley in a private gathering. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Al, at St. Agnes Cemetery in Utica.

Anna Mae Stetson
ILION – Anna Mae Stetson, age 79, formerly of Ilion and Huntington Beach, CA, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2015, at Focus Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Utica.
She was born on August 26, 1935, in Lowville, NY, the daughter of Virgil and Esther (Fee) Edgar, and in 1954 graduated from Ilion High School. On August 27, 1955, she was married to Thomas “Tom” Stetson at the First Presbyterian Church in Ilion. He died on October 10, 2005. Anna lived in Ilion, NY, for many years, before moving to Huntington Beach, CA, in 1986, where she resided for about twenty years before returning to Ilion.
Surviving family members include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig T. and Roberta Stetson, of Pleasanton, CA, and Scott V. and Treva Stetson, of Akron, OH; her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Lottie Edgar, of Ilion; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Tom, and sisters, Phyllis Edgar and Rosemary Johnson.
Funeral services and visitation will be held later this spring at the Applegate-Day & Enea Family Funeral Home’s newly reopened home at 102 West St., Ilion, at a date and time to be announced.

He was born on November 4, 1969 in Utica, NY, a son of William A. Primeau and Rosemary (Ruffo) Hafele. Rosemary was originally from the Little Falls area. Peter was of the Catholic faith and is survived by his mother, Rosemary and step – father James Hafele, a sister Renee Taylor, and four children, Jacquelyn, Peter, Jr., Casey and Codie.

George N. Wineberg
DOLGEVILLE – Mr. George N. Wineberg, age 76, a longtime resident of Dolgeville, NY, died unexpectedly on Tuesday March 17, 2015 in Little Falls Hospital of natural causes.
He was born on July 13, 1938 in Petersburg, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Carl Wineberg, Sr. and Bernice (Daley) Wineberg. He was a graduate of Stratford Central School in 1956. He was a charter member of the Stratford Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the DeMolay Ambulance Department. His marriage to the former Alice F. Brown took place December 19, 1981 in Fowler, NY. The couple shared many years of happiness together. George was a retired factory machine operator. He last worked with Electro Metrics of Johnstown, NY and had previously worked with Chicago Pneumatic of Utica, Mohawk Data Sciences of Herkimer, and Utica Corp. George was an over 50 year member of the Dolgeville Masonic Lodge 796 F & AM, having been raised in 1961. He was a past Master of the lodge and was currently the secretary, a position he has held since 2005. He had also been a District Deputy Grand Master of the Herkimer District at one time. He has also served as Patron of Aaskerada Chapter OES and Chairman of the Advisory Council for Dolgeville Chapter, Order of DeMolay (Legion of Honor, International Council). He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newport. Other accomplishments are inclusive to OES State of NY Worthy Patron for 15 years, and a District Grand Lecturer in 1994-95.
The Supreme Council, A.A.S.R., N.M.J. recently awarded the 33 degree to Brother George. Recognition of, and then honoring of outstanding and selfless work performed in Scottish Rite or in public life is the basis for the distinctive honor. He was made a 32 degree Mason in the Valley of Utica on April 7, 1984. He has served on the ritual cast of many AASR degree teams; was awarded the Scottish Rite MSA in 1993, and elected Commander in Chief of the Valley of Utica from 2008 until 2010. He was currently serving as a member of the AASR 32 degree Learning Center in Oriskany, NY. He was the recipient of a Meritorious Service Award; a Scottish Rite Medal for Masonic Service.
George is also a member of Ziyara Shriners, Utica, NY where he has served as Potentate’s Aide and both President and Secretary of the Valley Shrine Club for many years. He also served on the Divan of Ziyara Temple AAONMS. Brother George was one of the dedicated stalwart pillars of the Valley of Utica, and was always willing and ready to do his part for the Valley and the Dolgeville Lodge as well. We are all proud to have known George and will always recognize his achievements and prestigious honors.
He is survived by his wife, Alice, his daughter, Denise Wineberg of Amsterdam, his wife Alice’s family, Lynne Darling (Gerald) of Dolgeville, Annette Perkins (Ron) of Michigan, and Kevin Thompson (Stacey) of Cortland, NY, a sister – in – law, Anita Wineberg of Stratford, and seven grandchildren, five great – grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Carl Wineberg, Jr.
His funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brian A. Roberts & Kevin E. Enea of The Roberts & Enea Family Funeral Home, 3 East Faville Avenue in Dolgeville, NY (315) 429-3144. Charles L. "Chink" Riley
LITTLE FALLS – Mr. Charles L. “Chink” Riley, a longtime resident of Little Falls, NY, died on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at the Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
He was born on February 9, 1926 in Little Falls, NY a son of the late Clarence and Mary (Burns) Riley and was educated in local schools. He was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy and went on to attend the Utica School of Commerce. He served with the United States Army toward the end of World War II, namely in the European Theatre of Operations for eleven months. His marriage to Theodus “Teddy” Carrig took place on November 5, 1949 at St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls, a loving union of over 65 years. The couple had lived for over 30 years in Florida, where Charlie worked in the warehouse of Southern Wine & Spirits, Miami, Florida. At one time while living in Little Falls he had worked with the Cherry Burrell Corporation as well as Little Falls Automotive Fibres. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Little Falls American Legion Post #31. His family is very grateful to the staff of the Alpine in Little Falls during his stay there, especially mentioning nurses Amy, Michele, Maggie, Ginger, Loretta, Debbie, Eric, and Courtney.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Teddy, his daughter Donna Zelinski and her husband Robert of Ocala, Florida, his grandchildren Kit and Korin Zelinski, several nieces, nephews, cosuins and In – Laws, Tom and Theresa Carrig and David Carrig. He was predeceased by his son, David Riley, and sisters, Jean Mocko and Eleanor Novak.

Mark T. Tuttle
FRANKFORT – Mr. Mark T. Tuttle, 52 a longtime resident of Frankfort NY, died on Friday March 27, 2015 at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
He was born on March 24, 1963 in Mohawk, NY a son of the late Maxwell Tuttle and Nancy (Bennett) and was a graduate of Mt. Markham Central School class of 1982. After graduating Mark become a Certified Auto body Technician. He married Elizabeth “Lizzie” Carpenter and they shared a loving union of over 30 years. Mark was employed at Navelli Cadillac in Rome where he worked in the Body Shop. He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church. During his free time Mark liked to work around his home, and especially restoring cars. Mark always enjoyed playing and watching many different sports.
He had the special ability to make friends wherever he went, and to bring comfort and friendship to other heart patients. His family is very grateful to the staff at Strong Memorial Hospital and Dr. Chen and the staff at Montefiore Hospital, especially Dr. Spindel and the entire LVAD team for their excellent care and compassion.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Carpenter Tuttle, his daughters Megan Tuttle, and Brittany Tuttle and her fiancé Fu Tian. His Grandpugs, Chip and Dale. His Father and Mother-In-Law, William and Joyce Beach, his Grandmother Delena Boyd, his Sisters-In-Law Sara Beach and Laura Carpenter and her partner Rhonda Pretlow. His Brother-In Law, Jeffrey Carpenter, his Nephew Maxx Simon, his Niece & Nephew Debbie and Eric Gabrielson a great nephew Gunnar. Mark is also survived by his Cousins Tommy and Sharon Geer and their children, and Debbie Geer. He also leaves behind special friends Dickie DiLiberto and Lucy, Laura and Sandy, Rod, Porter and his LVAD Buddies.

George Louis Reinhardt
HERKIMER – Mr. George Louis Reinhardt, age 79, a longtime resident of Pullman Street in Herkimer, NY, passed away on Friday morning, March 27, 2015 in Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY.
He was born on June 13, 1935 in Fort Herkimer, NY, a son of the late Harold and Delina (Desgrosielliers) Reinhardt and was a graduate of Mohawk Central School. He went on to attend and graduate from Cobleskill Agriculture and Technical College (SUNY Cobleskill) with a degree in Horticulture. He had lived the greater part of his life in the Herkimer area. He served our country with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. George married Shirley Sweeney Lyndaker on January 6, 1984. At one time he was married to Dorothy Murphy.
George was last employed with Remington Arms in Ilion as a Research Specialist in Powder Metals. He held this position for nearly 28 years. At one time he had also worked with MacLennons Green House in Binghamton. George was very active with the Christ Episcopal Church of Herkimer. He held various positions with the church, inclusive to Senior Warden as well as an usher and lay Eucharistic minister. He had a wonderful smile that could just light up an entire room and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley, his four daughters, Michelle Reinhardt and her friend Tim of South New Berlin, Debra Reinhardt of Frankfort, Teresa Reinhardt and her partner Kevin of Scotia, and Kelly Carlisle and her husband Todd of Scotia, his step-children, Duane Lyndaker and wife Laurie of Arizona, Jason Lyndaker and his wife Tara of Ilion, Carrie Gordon and her husband Brian of Ilion, and Renee Lyndaker and her partner Clarence of Ilion, three sisters, Jeanne Goldstein and her husband Ron of Jacksonburg, Janice Johnson and her husband Edward of Fort Herkimer, and Joan Hailston and her husband Edward of Virginia, several grandchildren, great – grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt and uncle.
He was predeceased by two brothers Richard & Harold Reinhardt, and a sister Joyce Kaples.

HERKIMER - Anthony Belmonte (Tony) was born in Herkimer, NY on April 20 1932 the son of the late Francesca (Cardamone) Belmonte and Francesco Belmonte. He married Carolyn Minosh on March 29 1969.
Tony is survived by his wife Carolyn, daughters and son-in-laws, Maria and Patrick Kenny and Francine and Kevin Fern. Grandchildern Alaina Kenny and Brian Kenny. He is also survived by his In laws; Elizabeth Belmonte, Francis and Joyce Minosh, James Minosh, Lauren and Robert Lalley, Jessica and James Johnson, Donna and William Tedesco, Diane and Steve Miller. Several cousins and nieces and nephews.

She was born on November 26, 1947 in Troy, NY, daughter of the late Peter F. & Mildred (Taylor) Kirsch. Susan had resided in the Troy, Schenectady, & Sprakers areas through the years. She had attended and participated in day programs with the Lexington Center where she had many friends. She had a very special love of animals, and at one time had volunteered with the humane society. She attended the United Methodist Church in Ephratah. She is survived by her brother Peter Kirsch of Kentucky and was predeceased by her sister, Patricia.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday April 2, 2015 at 11 AM at The Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street in St. Johnsville with the Rev. Darlene Spaulding officiating. LITTLE FALLS – Carol Jean Baum, age 77 of Little Falls, and formerly of Liverpool, NY, passed away on Tuesday March 31, 2015.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday April 7, 2015 at 10:30 AM from The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls where prayer will be offered followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main & John Streets in Little Falls with the Rev. Terence Healy officiating assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Monday April 6 from 5 until 8 PM. Those wishing to donate in memory of Carol are asked to consider the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls. Envelopes are available at the funeral home for these purposes.
